In the '60s, the GT40 was named so because the roof was a mere 40 inches from the ground. This new GT was almost named the GT43 because, you guessed it, it's only three inches taller than its decades-ago racetrack predecessor. The new Ford is also wider. The beautiful example we have profiled on our showroom floor was built in January, 2006; one of only 157 built that month, and one of only 1,601 produced that year.
Not only is the Ford GT rarer than some of Ferrari's contemporary lineup, it also blows them away. With a 5.4 liter V8 engine, coupled with a supercharger, DOHC, and four valves per cylinder, the GT is putting out 550 horsepower, 500 ft. lbs. of torque and going from naught to 60 in the same time as an Enzo: 3.3 seconds. Even better, 0-100 is 7.8 seconds. This car is not to be overlooked. Stop by or make an appointment and check out this beautiful beast for yourself.
